Welcome

Hi

As part of the St Patrick's Festival celebrations we have compiled a fantastic programme line-up ranging from religious and cultural events to sporting and entertainments events, with highlights including the Street 7s and Cara Dillon, as well as discounted food.

I would ask that everyone remembers the purpose of our St Patrick's day Festival and that is to celebrate the cultural and religious aspect. Remember that you are all members of the South Belfast Community and subject to the off-campus disciplinary code. Have fun but be sensible and don't ruin what is a special celebration. Any problems, get in touch with us at the Students' Union.

Kind Regards,

Gareth McGreevy

Survival Tips

If you're out drinking over St Patrick's Day, remember to get something to eat throughout the day – it helps you manage what you're drinking and you'll thank us in the morning!

FACT There is no such thing as a hangover cure - instead watch how much you drink. Remember St Patrick's Day only comes once a year, but your neighbours are here all year round. If you're playing music at night, keep an eye on the noise level, close the windows and think of those next door.

FACT Drinking can affect your judgement, leading to risk-taking in your sexual relations, which could leave you with a STI or an unplanned pregnancy.
